CARE FOR YOUR NEW TATTOO
Remove bandages after one hour. Do not apply a new bandage. Using your hand (NO washcloth NO scrubbing), thoroughly wash off all blood with warm water and antibacterial soap. Apply recommended ointment. If you have not used the ointment before apply to a small area of unbroken skin and wait twenty-four hours to test for allergic reaction. If reaction occurs simply use a lotion you are not sensitive to or call for further suggestions.
Continue to wash your new tattoo with warm, soapy water and applying ointment 2 to 3 times a day for the first week. Then, continue with unscented hand lotion until the tattoo is fully healed and no longer itches or flakes.
Healing time depends on the individual. The skin will usually return to normal within a month. During this time the tattoo may look discolored and/or hazy. When the tattoo is completely healed, the color and design will be bright and clear. To keep your tattoo looking this way protect it from the sun and injury.
If you experience discharge or your tattoo is puffy or red after 10 days, contact us or a physician.
